The terms “Health and Accident Insurance,” “Accident and Sickness Insurance” and “Health insurance” are used interchangeably in the health insurance industry, from state to state and company to company.

This course is an overview of the life insurance industry and the elements of traditional life insurance. It has a special emphasis on the Purpose of Insurance and Types of Life Insurance Policies. It wraps up with two interesting case studies that give the student the opportunity to apply their knowledge in possible solutions.

Surplus Lines (INSCE036FL6)

The Surplus Lines Agent License (1-20) allows the licensee to handle the placement of insurance coverages with unauthorized insurers and to place such coverages with authorized insurers as to which the licensee is not licensed as an agent. The Surplus Lines Pre-Licensing Course provides an overview of surplus lines insurance, the regulatory processes, distribution systems, unauthorized insurance entities and details on the Florida Surplus Lines Service Office (FSLSO), Rules of Practice and the Florida Statutes for the Surplus Lines Law. This course would be a great introduction for 2-20 agents to know how to work with Surplus Lines agents, or to give an overview of the 1-20 Surplus Lines license in case a General Lines agent wants to consider adding that license. This continuing education course has been approved by the Department of Financial Services for ____ hours of CE credit.

Long-term Care NAIC 4 hour LTC Refresher Class (INSCE035FL4)

This class is written to satisfy the NAIC requirement
for ongoing insurance agent training on long-term care. The training consists
of topics related to long-term care insurance, long-term care services, state
partnership programs, and available long-term care providers.  In addition, this course will provide
in-depth discussion of trends in long-term care insurance, industry statistics,
types of long-term care insurance available in the market today, alternatives
to the purchase of long-term care insurance, and consumer protections
concerning long-term care insurance.

Health Insurance Policies and Provisions (INSCE034FL7)

This course is designed as a continuing education course especially beneficial for 2-15 and 2-40 licensed agents, but may be taken by all agents and adjusters (other than 3-20 public adjusters). Unit 1 covers most Health Insurance Types of Policies and Unit 2 covers associated Policy Provisions. This course is an Immediate Level continuing education course and has been approved by the Department of Financial Services for 7 hours of CE credit.

Medicare Today (INSCE013FL2)

This class will inform the Agent on all aspects of the U.S. Medicare Program.  After completion, the Agent will able to help his clients make decisions regarding their Medicare decisions. Units include Introduction to Medicare, Medicare Parts A and B, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, Medigap Policies, Help for Medicare Participants, Glossary, Marketing Guidelines, Medicare Fraud, Florida Unauthorized Entities Statement and the Final Exam Review.

This course has been approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services for insurance continuing education credit. This FL Intermediate CE course is approved for 2hrs of CE credit for all licenses (except 3-20/T31-20). No classroom attendance required. Earn your credits online in our virtual classroom!

Colorado -Life Insurance & It’s Uses Today CE (INSCE001CO14)

This course contains four sections.

Section one addresses the function of life insurance in contemporary America, the present composition of the insurance industry, and the insurance contract as it relates to the law.

Section two explores traditional and contemporary insurance contracts, with a detailed discussion of the elements of the insurance contract, and then identifies ways insurance companies enhance contracts.

Section three provides a discussion on benefit distribution designations and options, contract pricing and ratings, taxation of premiums, benefits and benefit options, and risk selection and types of receipts.
