Covid 19, Insurance, and Claims (INSCE038FL2)

COVID-19 claims have raised coverage issues that will probably ultimately resolved through legislation and court decisions. Coverages affected include property, general liability and workers compensation.  The coverage causing the biggest uproar from unhappy insureds is Business Interruption. Questions have also arisen on employee injuries usually insured under a workers compensation policy.  This issue has come to the fore with the exposure of medical personnel to the virus. This course reviews the types of claims generated by the virus and the responses by insurers, insureds and regulators.

This course is approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services for insurance continuing education credit (general elective) for ALL insurance agents and adjusters, and is specifically approved for 3-20 Public Adjusters. If you are an agent or 6-20 All-Lines adjuster, you will receive 2hrs of general elective CE credit. If you are a Public Adjuster, this course has specifically been approved for you (CE 3-20c – Public Adjuster Optional). No classroom attendance required.

This Health Insurance Agent Pre-Licensing Course is designed to meet the requirements for the 2-40 Health Insurance license and help you prepare for the 2-40 State Exam and fulfills the educational prerequisite for a Florida 2-40 Health Insurance Agent license. With this license you will be able to offer (sell) your prospects/clients the following types of policies: Medical, Disability, Long-Term Care, Critical Illness, Cancer, Accident, etc. Additionally, If you plan on offering Medicare Supplements and/or Medicare Advantage Plans, this course is most appropriate.

This course fulfills the educational prerequisite for a Florida 2-14 Life (Including Annuities & Variable Contracts) license. This licensee would then be able to serve as an individual representing an insurer as to life insurance and annuity contracts, including agents appointed to transact life insurance, fixed-dollar annuity contracts, or variable contracts by the same insurer. Annuity contracts, including, but not limited to, fixed or variable annuity contracts; the granting of endowment benefits, additional benefits in event of death or dismemberment by accident or accidental means, additional benefits in event of the insured’s disability; and optional modes of settlement of proceeds of life insurance.

The purpose of the PE007FL Health and Florida Specifics Exam Drills course is to provide you with a greater assurance of passing the 2-40 Health Agent examination on your first effort. This course presents an abundance of questions in several different review methods to give you plenty of practice in the learning style best suited to you. You may choose what to study based on specific topic or question style.

Some exams pull random questions from the topics of Health Insurance and Florida Laws. Each time you take an exam in this method you will be given different questions (some may repeat since it is a random draw). Some questions are typical multiple choice questions with one correct answer for each question, other exams utilize a unique Redding Method where every wrong answer is a correct answer for some other question, even though not this question. If you choose a wrong answer, we will tell you to what question that was the correct answer. The concept with Redding Method questions is that you are always presented with correct question and answer choices when we “grade” your answer, reinforcing proper learning of concepts.

Exercises in the sections labeled “Matching” utilize drop-down menus for answers that work similar to a multiple-choice question. Finally, for extra practice, crossword puzzles are added on various topics of insurance.
