This 2-hour Continuing Education course is entitled “Hurricanes and Their Impact on Insurance.” It is designed as a self-paced course done entirely online at your convenience. After completing and passing the entire online course, you will have fulfilled your continuing education (CE) requirements.
The course will present a review of hurricane characteristics and forecasting, emphasizing policies ensuring hurricane losses, coverage questions and underwriting changes since Hurricane Andrew of 1992. Additionally, various types of insurance policies and the impact of hurricanes on the insurance industry will be discussed.
The online course consists of two topics as well as two (2) twenty-five-question multiple-choice question Exams, which are electronically scored online. You must achieve a passing score of 70% or better for each exam. The program will only allow you to retake a new exam if you score less than 70%.
***To receive a certificate of completion, the candidate must receive a 70% on all graded exams.
